“It’s not that easy,” you say. I agree. It’s become a favorite pastime to go reminiscence about all the ways someone has hurt you, or circumstances betrayed you, or the world didn’t allow you to become who you could have been. I ask you, would you keep picking on a scab that is healing?
Resolutions
The first step is finding out the WHY? Why is that change so important for you. How is it going to impact your life? What results or benefits are you hoping to get with that change?
Self Care
I always start with gusto, my intention is set- to be disciplined and finish what I start.
But somehow I can never finish what I start, or stick to my goals for too long. Remember that Yoga class, that cleanse, that workout, that diet plan, that decision to dress nicely everyday, that smoothie you were going to make for yourself for breakfast…all those promises you make to yourself but somehow never keep.
Just the way I feel today
Continue being small so others around you can feel good about themselves OR embrace your power and show them what it means to walk your own path.
Reflection
Along with your I should To-Do list, make an I want To-Do list. That’s when you’ll find the fun, joy and energy to get the should’s done.
